Stocking Salmon in Lake George

Any one that would like to help out with the salmon stocking in Lake George this year is welcome to join us. We will be trying to stock as many by boat as possible to spread them out a little. Anyone with a boat and some clean garbage barrels would be very welcome; more boats gets the job done quicker and out of the tanks faster. Others are needed to bring the salmon from the truck to the boats, usually with 5 gallon buckets.

Tentative stocking dates, starting around 10 am:

South Basin: Monday, May 19 - starting at the public docks in the Village (Beach Road near Canada St.) and possibly the second truck at Hearthstone State Campground

North Basin: Tuesday, May 20 - Hague Town Dock and then Rogers Rock Campground

We will provide updates when things get finalized. Feel free to ask any questions. Let me know if you can help out, especially if you have a boat, otherwise just show up.

The next LGFA meeting is this coming Wednesday, May 14, 7pm at the LGA Building, located just west of Exit 21 off I-87. We will be discussing the upcoming salmon stocking. Meetings are open to the public.
